Feldar Documentation
Feldar is a writing workspace for long-form fiction. It combines a focused editor with revision tools, structural planning, worldbuilding, project-aware chat, and usage controls.
These docs describe the current Feldar product and identify the native iOS open beta where its interface differs. Other experimental features that live only on an unmerged development branch are not presented as available.
Core capabilities
Section titled “Core capabilities”- Draft and revise: Write directly in the editor, use Caret Assist for context-aware next steps, and use Rewrite to polish or reshape selected text. Review generated alternatives before applying one.
- Plan with pages and scenes: Add scene titles and descriptions to an outline, continue from an existing scene, or use the outline as context when drafting a page.
- Build world context on Canvas: Create and arrange Character, Location, Plot, Note, Item, and Faction cards. Canvas cards can inform generation and can be searched from Chat.
- Review prose with Checks: Run focused checks for issues such as grammar, clarity, repetition, and word choice, then accept, rewrite, retry, or discard individual suggestions.
- Use Lens in Chat: Ask for feedback from specific writing personas or use Reader reactions to explore how a passage may land.
- Work with project-aware Chat: Create chat sessions, attach relevant context, choose an available model, and review proposed editor, project-wide, or Canvas changes before accepting them.
- Manage projects: Pin important projects, switch library views, sort your work, use generated covers, and create read-only share links.
- Shape generated prose: Configure Voice & Style defaults and save a project-specific writing sample for voice conditioning on desktop.
- Review writing activity: Open the personal Writing record on desktop to explore recorded entry, accepted AI operations, and model contributions.
