Projects Library

The Library is your home base in Feldar. It brings together the projects you have pinned, the projects you worked on recently, and the controls for creating and managing projects.

This page describes the desktop web and macOS library. Mobile web uses a streamlined list. The native iOS app has an adaptive library for iPhone and iPad with search, pinning, and project management; see Projects in the mobile app.

The Library home has two main sections:

  • Pinned keeps up to four important projects at the top.
  • Continue writing shows projects you have worked on recently.

The sidebar provides:

  • Library to return to the Library home
  • New project to create a project
  • Recent shortcuts to recently opened projects

Select a project anywhere in the Library to open it in the editor.

  1. Select New project in the sidebar, then choose New draft. If your Library is empty, you can also use its create-project action.
  2. Feldar creates the project and opens it for writing. The separate Import action depends on file-transfer availability.
  3. Rename the project when you are ready to give it a permanent title.

Open a project’s options menu and select Pin project. Pinned projects appear in the Pinned section; select Unpin project when you no longer need one there.

You can pin up to four projects at a time. If the limit is reached, unpin one before pinning another.

Use the controls beside Pinned to change how the Library is presented:

  • Default shows compact project cards with a preview and project details.
  • Cover emphasizes project covers.
  • Sort offers Default, Last updated, Title A-Z, and Title Z-A.

Your selected view and sorting choice are remembered on the device.

When a project has a meaningful title and no existing cover, Feldar may generate a cover automatically. The cover appears when generation finishes; Feldar may also suggest switching to Cover view so you can see it.

Cover generation is automatic rather than a manual project-menu action. If a cover is not available, the project remains usable and keeps its standard library presentation.

Open the options menu beside a project in Continue writing to:

  • Duplicate project
  • Pin project or Unpin project

Recent-project rows also have an options menu with Rename and Delete. For Rename, enter the new title and press Enter; Escape cancels the edit. Read the confirmation before deleting a project and its pages.
