Credits

Credits are how Feldar measures AI-assisted usage. Actions such as Chat, Rewrite, Caret Assist, Checks, Lens, scene generation, and Page Draft can use credits. Manual writing and editing do not.

  • Your current plan determines the included credit allocation
  • AI actions deduct credits as their work is processed
  • The selected model and the amount of text or image context can affect usage
  • Multi-step requests can process additional context while Chat searches the project, analyzes passages, or uses web research when that capability is available
  • Credit grants and expiry follow the current plan and billing period
  • The available balance refreshes as Feldar records usage

Open your profile menu for a quick balance, or use Settings > Usage for the full view. Usage includes:

  • Your current plan and available credits
  • 7D, 30D, and 1Y date ranges
  • An all-model or individual-model filter
  • Credit usage over time
  • A breakdown by Feldar feature

Some larger workflows, especially Page Draft, show a credit estimate before you confirm. The estimate helps compare options, but the recorded result in Usage is the authoritative amount.

For Chat, an image attachment or a request that requires several research or analysis steps can use more credits than a short text-only exchange. Tool use does not have one fixed public price: it can change how much context the model processes, so the final amount can vary even for prompts of similar length.

You can wait for the next allocation associated with your plan, choose another plan from Usage, or use AI actions more selectively.
