Feldar for macOS

Feldar provides a macOS desktop app for Apple silicon and Intel Macs. It uses the same Feldar account and projects as the web app.

Availability

The macOS download may be offered during initial setup. The signed-in sidebar also shows a Download action to eligible paid accounts when they are using the web app. Availability can depend on the account and current rollout. If no download option is shown, contact support instead of assuming desktop access is included.

Install

1. Open feldar.com/download from your Mac when the download is available to your account.
2. Download the macOS disk image offered for your Mac.
3. Open the downloaded image and follow the macOS installation prompts.
4. Open Feldar and sign in with the same account you use on the web.

OAuth sign-in opens in your system browser and returns to the desktop app after authorization.

Native menu actions

The macOS app provides native Feldar, File, Edit, View, Window, and Help menus. Two app-specific shortcuts are explicitly available:

The Edit and View menus also expose standard macOS editing, zoom, and full-screen commands. Use the shortcut labels displayed by macOS for those commands.

Updates

Packaged, signed builds check periodically for updates. When an update has downloaded, an Update control appears next to your profile. Selecting it restarts Feldar and installs the staged version.

To check manually, open Feldar > Check for Updates…. If an update is already ready, Feldar directs you to the Update control. Automatic updating is not available in local development or unsigned builds.

Billing completed in a browser

External checkout opens in the system browser. After checkout, return to the desktop app and revisit Billing or Usage. If the old plan remains visible, quit and reopen Feldar. See Plans and billing for details.
