Writing record

The Writing record shows writing activity recorded by Feldar, including typed and pasted entry, text entered through Feldar’s AI tools, and accepted AI operations. Open it on desktop web or macOS from the editor’s Options → Writing record action.

Read the overview

The overview shows:

• Words entered by source: typed, Feldar, and pasted
• Active days and estimated active time
• Accepted AI operations
• The current saved page or manuscript word count
• Models used, when model-attributed activity is available

Check the page or project context shown in the record before comparing counts. Words entered measure recorded activity, while the current saved word count measures the text that remains. Rewriting or deleting text can make those totals differ.

Explore activity and receipts

Select a day in the activity chart to explore its recorded activity. The activity register groups typed and pasted entry by UTC day. It does not list every keystroke or individual paste.

Use the model filter to narrow AI activity. Open an AI entry to see its Writing record receipt, including the feature, operation, page, time, words entered or replaced, and model when recorded. Each receipt explains what its evidence guarantees.

Receipts contain operation metadata and counts. They do not contain manuscript text, prompts, generated text, keystrokes, or Chat content.

What the record means

The record describes activity Feldar observed. It is not an AI-authorship detector: pasted text does not establish where that text was originally written, and missing activity does not prove that no writing occurred. A model can appear as unrecorded when attribution is unavailable.

Sharing

This guide covers the signed-in record. Public writing-record and writer-profile publishing are not generally available. To let someone read your manuscript, use the separate read-only project sharing workflow.
