Sharing

Sharing creates a read-only link for people who need to read your project without editing it. Readers do not need a Feldar account.

Create a link

1. Open the project in the editor
2. Open Options in the header and select Share
3. Select Generate link
4. Select Copy link, then send it to the reader

A newly generated link expires after 30 days by default. It works only while it is active and has not expired.

Protect a shared project

After generating a link, turn on Require password and enter a password if the project should not be available to everyone who receives the URL. Send the password separately from the link when possible.

The Share panel also shows how many times the link has been viewed.

To stop access, select Restrict access. The existing link will no longer open the project. Generate a new link if you want to share the project again later.

What readers see

The link opens a clean, read-only view with:

• The project title and writing
• A Contents sidebar for moving between pages
• A password prompt when password protection is enabled

Readers cannot edit the project. The shared view does not currently include comments, feedback collection, or a document minimap. Use another channel if you want readers to send notes back to you.

Writing records and profiles

A read-only project link shares the manuscript. It does not publish your personal Writing record or a writer profile. Public writing-record and writer-profile publishing are not generally available.
